Kristyn Williams, Instructional Designer
Connectedness -Relationship Builder
People strong in the Connectedness theme build bridges between people and groups, showing them how to relate to and rely on one another.
Restorative -Executing
I enjoy the challenge of analyzing the symptoms, identifying what is wrong, and finding the solution.
Belief -Executing
People with strong belief talents are a source of powerful drive and direction. Their motivation, drive and determination come from living their lives according to their values and beliefs. They provide clarity, conviction and stable values.
Developer -Relationship Builder
Developers see others’ raw potential and incremental progress, and they actively invest in furthering that development. Their help and encouragement enable others to learn and grow. As a result, they help groups develop bench strength and ensure a successful future for individuals and teams.
Learner Strategic - Thinker
People with strong Learner talents not only love to learn, but they also intuitively know how they learn best. They can absorb information and knowledge quickly, and when focused, they can keep a group, team and organization on the cutting edge.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! I have a strong passion for learning, development, and building meaningful relationships. As a continuous learner, I find great fulfillment in engaging audiences and helping them achieve their learning goals.
The evolution of online learning platforms has been truly transformative for how organizations educate their employees, clients, and customers. It’s an exciting time for instructional designers like me, as these innovations encourage us to develop new skills and creative approaches to engage learners effectively. Additionally, the rise of generative AI has opened up new avenues for creativity in design and streamlined the learning development process from start to finish.
Building relationships is one of my core strengths. I genuinely enjoy collaborating, brainstorming, and finding solutions with others. I recognize the importance of connecting with subject matter experts and stakeholders to accurately assess needs and enhance existing learning paths, as well as to design and develop new ones.
I believe the difference between good design and great design lies in a designer’s ability to create innovative solutions while also reflecting and improving on them. This philosophy extends to both my professional and personal life. I value constructive feedback and opportunities for reflection, as they are essential for growth.
Staying current in my field is important to me. I actively participate in professional development opportunities, engaging with peers nationwide. I’ve attended The Learning Conference to stay updated on trends that I can integrate into my work. Currently, I’m working towards my DISC certification and John Maxwell Coaching Certification to further enhance my skills. I hope to add training on neurodiversity in the workplace for a deeper understanding of learners.
Outside of my career, you can often find me immersed in a good book, birdwatching outdoors, or hunting for vintage treasures. I love uncovering the history behind these treasures and discovering ways to repurpose them for today’s enjoyment. Many have noted that my curiosity is one of my greatest assets, and I am always eager to ask questions to deepen my understanding.
